By-product destruction

The production unit i Sæby has chosen JS Proputec A/S as a partner in the collaboration towards a optimised solution for destruction of by-products from their production lines.

The production unit employees approx. 770 people, and 48.000 pigs are slaughtered every week.

The challenge

Back in January 2019, the Plukon Food Group used a progressive cavity pump which was under-performing.

As a temporary solution for loss of performance, the Plukon Food Group had to transport the by-products in transportation bins (as shown above), emptying them on conveyer belts for further transport to the production facility.

Drawing the overall lines

Danish Crown and JS Proputec cooperated on the overall lines of the project, and JS Proputec took care of all measurement and adjustments of production layouts.

The optimal solution was quickly determined, and the installation of the solution was done in close cooperation with staff from Danish Crown.

Project management went seamlessly, and we experienced a very professional approach, quick delivery and a very good cooperation towards the optimal solution.

The solution

The solution contained:

1 pc. LAP 200 lamella pump
1 pc. Infeed Hopper with pneumatic hatch
Complete PLC control

Fantastic cooperation

Within a week of visiting Blokker where the plant was located, we presented Plukon with a fully tailor-made solution. I knew then that this would be a successful project. Our customer is very happy with the pump and the customized hopper, which was put into operation in August 2019 and has performed without any problems ever since!
